  • HOLDERS OF RESIDENCE CARDS MAY BRING IN USED HOUSEHOLD GOODS AND PERSONAL EFFECTS DUTY-FREE IF IN CUSTOMER’S POSSESSION FOR AT LEAST SIX MONTHS PRIOR TO MOVE

When shipping goods overseas to Luxembourg, The following items are dutiable and/or restricted:

  • New furniture

When shipping goods overseas to Luxembourg, the following items are prohibited, but not limited to,  from entry into the country:

  • Firearms
  • Drugs
  • Ammunition
  • Articles derived from endangered species such as ivory

When shipping Motor Vehicles overseas to Luxembourg, the following documents and regulations will apply:

  • Permitted duty-free if the car has been in owner’s possession and used for at least six months and owner is transferring residence to Luxembourg
  • Documents Required (in addition to above):
    • Original Title
    • Insurance Certificate covering the previous six months
    • Certificate of Residence

Moving Pets to Luxembourg, The following documents must be presented for the importation of pets:

  • Dogs and cats permitted with recent Health Certificate
  • Medical examination may be required on arrival
