When you plan your international shipping to Honduras, The following documents are required for customs clearance:

  • Valid Passport of Customer
  • Residence Visa
  • Work Permit
  • Proof of Employment
  • Certificate of Residence Change
  • Permit to import household goods and personal effects
  • Inventory (in SPANISH, legible and three copies)
  • Letter authorizing Destination Agent to clear shipment
  • Original Bill of Lading/Airway Bill

When shipping goods overseas to Honduras, The following items customs guidelines will need to be met:

  • CUSTOMER MUST BE PRESENT AT CUSTOMS CLEARANCE
  • All shipments inspected
  • Used household goods may be imported duty-free for Hondurans returning after 12 months abroad

When shipping goods overseas to Honduras, The following items are dutiable and/or restricted:

  • New items and electrical appliances (original Purchase Invoice and four copies required)
  • Plants (Quarantine Certificate required)
  • Tobacco products (in limited quantity)
  • Duty free allowance
    • One bottle of hard liquor
    • 1 full carton of cigarettes
    • or 1 lb tobacco
    • or 250 cigars

When shipping goods overseas to Honduras, The following items are prohibited from entry into the country:

  • Pornographic or subversive literature and films
  • Weapons (sporting firearms and ammunition may be imported with a special permit from the Secretary of Defense and the Treasury Department)
  • Explosives
  • Alcoholic products
  • Drugs

When shipping Motor Vehicles overseas to Honduras, The following documents and regulations will apply:

  • Heavily taxed and dutiable
  • Documents required:
    • Original Passport
    • Original Purchase Invoice
    • Document of Ownership (listing make, year, model, serial number, etc.)
    • Original title
    • Duty rates on autos depend on year, cc motor, make and value of the auto. Generally very high.

Moving Pets to Honduras: The following documents must be presented for the importation of pets:

  • Health and Quarantine Certificate required
