When you plan your international shipping to the Congo, The following documents are required for customs clearance:

  • Certificate of change of residence
  • “Attestation Reservation de cale”
  • Employment letter from company
  • Detailed valued inventory in French, signed and dated by the customer

When shipping goods overseas to the Congo, The following items customs guidelines will need to be met:

  • Used household goods in reasonable quantities for personal use may be duty-free
  • All shipments physically inspected

When shipping goods overseas to the Congo, The following items are dutiable and/or restricted:

  • Electrical items and furniture must be more than six months old, otherwise they are subject to customs duties and taxes
  • Invoices required
  • Home computers are not accepted as personal effects and will be subject to customs duties and taxes

When shipping goods overseas to the Congo, The following items are prohibited from entry into the country:

  • Weapons and ammunition
  • Plants
  • Alcoholic beverages are prohibited and should be sent separately
  • All food products unless canned
  • Non-compliance results in heavy penalties and possible confiscation of shipment

When shipping Motor Vehicles overseas to the Congo, The following documents and regulations will apply:

  • New autos are dutiable
